  • Join Lambda Beta Omega for our Ivy Reunion: ReAKAtivation Picnic — an afternoon of sisterhood, family, fellowship, and fun! 🧺☀️ Whether we see you often or it’s been a little while, we’d love to welcome you back and reconnect. Bring your family, enjoy the picnic, and spend some time with your LBO sisters. There’s always a place for you in our sisterhood, and we can’t wait to see you 💕💚 Be sure to RSVP and let us know you’ll be joining us!
  • ✨ GEN NEXT SISTERHOOD SPOTLIGHT ✨ Darlyn “Poochie” Cormier worked in St. Landry Parish Schools as a Speech Pathologist and Behavior Counselor through the Pupil Appraisal Center. She retired in 2012 and immediately began working with J. S. Clark Leadership Academy. Poochie, as we fondly call her, is actively involved in her church, St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, as well as various organizations. She was educated in the public schools of St. Landry Parish, graduating from the former J. S. Clark High School. She furthered her education by obtaining her B.S., Master’s Degree, and +30 from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was initiated into the Lambda Beta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® in 2000. Presently, she is in her 26th year as a Silver Star and is a Life Member. She is dedicated to service and sisterhood and remains actively involved. Sister Poochie is the devoted mother of one daughter, Keisha Thomas, who is also a member of AKA. She was married to the late Sonny Cormier and enjoys spending time with her grand Yorkie pup, Levi. During her spare time, she enjoys shopping, dining out with friends, and traveling. Sister Poochie has a heart of gold and loves everyone she comes in contact with. There is never a dull moment with her, and no one is a stranger. Sister Darlyn “Poochie” Cormier is committed to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® and we appreciate having her as a member of LBO 💕💚
  • ✨ Congratulations, Aquanits Zachary! ✨ We are proud to celebrate Aquanits Zachary who was appointed as the South Central Regional Sisterly Relations Liaison for Louisiana! 🎉 Your leadership and commitment to our sisterhood are truly inspiring. We know you will represent Louisiana with grace and purpose as you serve in this new role. LBO is behind you every step of the way! 💕💚
  • CHAMPIONS READY TO SERVE! 🏆💕💚 Lambda Beta Omega had an unforgettable Chapter Retreat last weekend! We stepped into the ring to refresh our knowledge, strengthen our sisterhood, and set our sights on new goals for service and continued chapter growth. A special thank you to our guest speaker, Shelton “Sweet” LeBlanc, owner of Backstreet Boxing Club & Gym and former professional boxer, for inspiring us to keep fighting for excellence, discipline, purpose, and impact. And yes… our champion robes were the perfect reminder that we are dressed for the fight, trained for the mission, and READY TO SERVE! 🥊✨
  • Back 2 School Unity Fest! ✨🍏 We were proud to volunteer, serve, and help make a difference as St. Landry Parish students get ready to head back to the classroom. When we pour into our youth, we invest in the future. To every student starting a new school year: May your year be filled with knowledge, confidence, new friendships, big dreams, and even bigger accomplishments! 💕💚
